Pair OBD2 on Android car stereo
#41
I don't either, honestly I've tried the steps defined and no love.

I see some new Dec updates, and it says it applies to the JY-JL001N2 . . . but I don't see any way to install the updates. The link on the screen in the video isn't present on my unit.

Can someone show me the steps \ screenshots etc?

The N2 is going to be the 2GB of RAM unit with a different processor, that won't work on your unit.

your updates will show up here:

Finally got my unit and installed. Now I got the OBD2 working through USB by setting the baud rate to 57600. Some cables may run at different baud rate. Also make sure you select the device too. A restart of app may be needed

The usb-obd2 dongle drains battery 24/24, like the BT one, or only when the HU is turned on?

I have the JY-UL135N2 and after the November update my OBDLink LX works great. I set the pin to 1234 and in DashCommand had to tell it i had the OBDLink so another words i had to take it off auto detect and all has been working great. I also have an Samsung S5 hooked up and i do not have any problems.

For anyone interested, I confirm that this OBD2 pairs with my unit fine and works with Torque without any problems.
